    Summary

    The purpose of this project is to increase enthusiasm for, and enhance achievement in, middle school mathematics by providing materials to mathematics teachers and encouraging their use in the classroom, in extracurricular activities, and in MATHCOUNTS competitions.

    Unallowable activities and use of funds for this grant may include but are not limited to the following:
    • Field trips;
    • Advisory council;
    • Cost of membership in any civic or community organization;
    • Hosting or sponsoring of conferences;
    • Out-of-State travel;
    • Travel costs for Officials such as Executive Director, Superintendent, or Board Members;
    • Debt service (lease-purchase); and
    • Audit services for state-funded grant.

    Texas Engineering Foundation, Inc. is the only eligible applicant for continuation funding for 2016-2017.

    The deadline to submit applications was November 10, 2016. A similar deadline is anticipated annually.
